Description

What type of wine is it

Nosso di Menade is a vegan white wine made exclusively from Verdejo grapes, grown in the Spanish region of Rueda. This label stands out for a style that skillfully balances softness and freshness, capable of offering an aromatic profile rich with lactic and fruity nuances. Its identity is defined by the absence of added sulfur dioxide, a choice that enhances the purity of the grape variety and ensures an authentic and natural sip.

Where it comes from

The vines grow in the Rueda area, a region particularly suited for growing Verdejo. The clay-limestone soils and altitudes between 750-800 meters above sea level create an ideal terroir for developing high-quality grapes. These soil and climate conditions give the wine a distinctive balance that supports the structure and acidity typical of the territorial imprint of this denomination.

How it is produced

The production process begins with the alcoholic fermentation of the Verdejo grapes, followed by malolactic fermentation in contact with the lees. This technique is fundamental in defining the wine's texture and enriching its bouquet. The entire vinification takes place without the use of sulfur dioxide and maintains an essential and controlled approach that preserves the tasting clarity and integrity of the raw material.

Tasting notes

To the eye, it appears with a delicate straw yellow color, bright and inviting. The aroma profile is characterized by soft hints of caramel and lactic notes reminiscent of almond and butter. On the palate, it is enveloping yet fresh thanks to its lively acidity, revealing aromas of honey, apricot, and dried plum, finishing with a long finale and a pleasant mineral hint.

Food pairings

On the table, it perfectly complements seafood first courses and enhances recipes such as salmon or scampi risotto thanks to its buttery notes. Its smooth structure and balanced acidity also make it ideal for pairing with shrimp cocktail, as it doesn’t overpower the delicacy of the shellfish. It is also excellent served with lobster, as its mineral component keeps the sip lively and clean.

When to serve it

This white is the perfect choice for occasions when you're seeking a glass that combines softness and freshness during a meal based on fish and shellfish. It's suitable for serving when you want to appreciate the complexity brought by hints of almond and dried fruit. Its technical profile, marked by the absence of sulfur dioxide, makes it perfect for occasions that require a persistent and characterful wine.
