Description
This Saint-Joseph by Victor Berard originates on the right bank of the Rhône, in an area characterized by steep terraced slopes, shaped since ancient times. The climate varies from semi-continental influences in the northern part to a more Mediterranean character in the southern zone, creating ideal conditions for the cultivation of Syrah, accompanied here by a small percentage of Marsanne and Roussanne.
The vinification takes place using traditional methods, with a maceration lasting 3-4 weeks to best extract aromas and structure. Subsequently, the wine matures in tanks at low temperatures, preserving the freshness and elegance of the aromatic profile.
Visually, it presents a carmine red color with violet reflections. The bouquet is intense and complex, with notes of truffle, candied fruit, and ripe cherries. On the palate, it is soft and well-balanced, characterized by great freshness and a persistent and decisive aromatic finish.
It pairs perfectly with hare stew, venison leg, game, or boiled vegetables and meat.
