Description
What kind of wine is it
Bianca Terra by Vespa Vignaioli per Passione is a white wine made from Fiano grapes, a variety typical of Puglia. It stands out for its fresh, savory, and linear profile, with complexity coming from a brief maturation on the lees. Stainless steel vinification at controlled temperature preserves the varietal aromas and offers a balanced, pleasant sip, designed for those seeking authenticity and good drinkability.
Where it comes from
This wine is born in Salento, a territory with a Mediterranean climate, calcareous-clay soils, with sand and stones. The low-altitude vineyards receive intense light and sea breezes that encourage regular ripening of the grapes. These conditions enhance freshness, balanced acidity, and the typical mineral character of Fiano.
How it is produced
Fiano is harvested with care to preserve its integrity and acidity. In the cellar, gentle pressing, clarification, and fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature are carried out. Ageing continues in stainless steel with a short time on fine lees, providing volume and stability, without the use of barrels to maintain the fragrance of the grape variety.
Tasting notes
To the eye, Bianca Terra shows a brilliant straw yellow with greenish reflections. The nose reveals scents of white flowers, citrus fruits, and light herbal notes, with a subtle minerality. The palate is fresh, smooth, and savory, with well-integrated acidity and a dry, persistent finish that leaves a citrusy and saline sensation.
Food pairing
Bianca Terra easily pairs with fish dishes, shellfish, and fresh cheeses, enhancing delicate preparations. It is ideal with seafood carpaccio and tartare, octopus salads, grilled fish, and seafood pastas. In Apulian cuisine, it goes well with tiella (rice, potatoes, and mussels) and orecchiette with turnip tops with moderate seasoning.
When to serve
This white wine is suited to convivial and everyday occasions, from aperitif to full meal, whenever freshness and aromatic clarity are desired. Recommended serving at 8-10°C in medium-sized glasses, with brief aeration to enhance floral and citrus notes. The structure and time on the lees ensure good bottle longevity, with more lively expression in the early years.
