Description

The Salice Salentino Riserva Negroamaro of the Per Lui line represents the expression of the highest quality level of the production of native Apulian vines of Leone de Castris, which here sees the presence of 100% Negroamaro grapes.

For the production of this reserve the grapes are left to dry naturally on the plant before being carefully selected and collected in the boxes. After pressing and destemming, the must undergoes alcoholic fermentation for at least 20 days at a controlled temperature of 26-28 ° C. Once racking off, the wine proceeds to malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels, resting for at least 12 months.

At the sight it reveals an intense ruby red color, while the nose has many aromas, ranging from Mediterranean scrub to fruit jam. In the mouth there are evident hints of red fruits with an excellent balance and good persistence.

Excellent to taste in combination with typical Apulian meat dishes such as horse steak or baked lamb.
