Description
What kind of wine it is
Malvasia Infatata is a white wine from Caravaglio made from Malvasia delle Lipari grapes on the island of Salina. The style is fresh and approachable, with a light body and balanced structure. Fermentation takes place with native yeasts at controlled temperature, preserving the grape’s aromatic purity.
Where it comes from
The Tricoli vineyard is located in Salina, in the heart of the Aeolian Islands. The vines grow on sandy, volcanic soils that give the wine minerality and savoriness. The Mediterranean climate, with temperature variations between day and night, supports the balance between acidity and ripening, while proximity to the sea amplifies its aromatic profile.
How it is produced
After careful selection, fermentation occurs with native yeasts at controlled temperature.
Tasting notes
In the glass it shows a deep straw yellow color with golden highlights. On the nose, aromas of white flowers, green apple, citrus and subtle herbal notes emerge. On the palate, the wine is savory and mineral, with hints of sea breeze and good acidity. The finish is long, clean and smooth.
Food pairings
This wine pairs beautifully with fish and seafood dishes. Excellent with octopus and caper salad, seafood risotto and rock-cooked swordfish.
When to serve it
It is recommended to serve Malvasia Infatata chilled between 10 and 12 °C. The wine is ready to drink now and can develop positively in the coming years thanks to its balanced structure. Perfect for summer aperitifs or seafood meals, it reveals its best character in the warm months.
