Description
This Sauternes wine is made mainly from Sémillon grapes grown in the vineyards of Château Bordenave, located in Preignac, France. Its name comes from "new farm" and it is cultivated on sandy-gravelly soil.
The winemaking process follows the traditional method, with the selection of noble rot caused by Botrytis cinerea which enriches the grapes with sugars by evaporating water, without causing harm. Afterwards, there is a 6-month refinement to enhance the character of the wine.
It has a beautiful golden yellow color with silvery highlights. On the nose, it reveals floral aromas, candied exotic fruit, mango, and white flowers. On the palate it is broad, balanced, and complex, with notes of pineapple, toasted hazelnuts, and acacia honey.
It pairs well as an aperitif and is perfect to accompany fruit desserts and blue cheeses.
