Description
Bonera by Mandrarossa is born in Menfi, on the southwestern coasts of Sicily, from vineyards facing south and southeast, planted on medium-textured soils of a clayey nature.
It is made from Nero d'Avola and Cabernet Franc grapes, harvested during the first week of September. The different grape varieties undergo separate maceration conditions: Nero d'Avola macerates for 6-8 days at a temperature of 22-25°C, while Cabernet Franc for 8-10 days at 18-22°C. After the fermentation of the assembled varieties, the wine matures for 3 to 6 months in barriques and refines in the bottle for 4 months.
It presents itself in the glass with a ruby red color with violet hues. The range of notes that develops on the nose creates a bouquet where aromas of red fruits alternate with hints of plum and almond. On the palate, it is full and intense, with a good structure characterized by a well-integrated tannic texture.
It is suitable to accompany grilled red meats and aged cheeses.
