Description
The Soave Brognoligo by Cecilia Beretta, a label of the Pasqua winery, is a refined and expressive white wine made from 100% Garganega grapes grown according to organic principles in the historical classic area of Soave. The vineyards are located on soils of volcanic-basalto origin with alluvial residues, giving the wine a pronounced minerality and aromatic complexity.
Before harvest, the grapes undergo a slight withering on the vine for 2-3 weeks, concentrating aromas and structure. After gentle pressing, fermentation takes place in steel at controlled temperatures, while a small portion of the wine ferments and ages in French oak barriques. The rest of the blend rests on the fine lees for three months, contributing to its depth and roundness.
With a pale yellow color and greenish reflections, it releases elegant notes of chamomile, tropical fruit, and delicate toasted nuances. On the palate, it is fresh and savory, with a perfect balance between acidity and smoothness, finishing with a typical sweet almond aftertaste.
This white wine pairs beautifully with fish dishes, light first courses, and vegetables, also proving to be an excellent aperitif.
