Description
The Bohan-Dillon is a Pinot Noir produced by Hirsch Vineyards as a tribute to the great village wines of France, designed to express a strong sense of place and variety. It results from a careful selection of grapes sourced from family-run vineyards located in the West Sonoma Coast, including Hirsch, Hellenthal, and Heintz, all known for their integrity and expressive complexity.
The winemaking is done using the same techniques employed for the other corporate Pinot Noirs, maintaining utmost care and precision in details. The wine is produced respecting the varietal and territorial characteristics and is conceived to be enjoyable even in its youth. The natural and respectful approach to the raw material enhances the identity of each site involved in the cuvée.
On the nose, it opens with fragrant notes of raspberry, cherry, and plum, accompanied by hints of graphite and cassis. On the palate, it is juicy and harmonious, with delicate tannins and a development that reveals nuances of rhubarb and undergrowth, offering a sip rich in personality and freshness.
It pairs excellently with summer dishes such as grilled chicken, soft cheeses, or rustic salads served at room temperature or slightly chilled.
