Description
What kind of wine it is
The Vino Spumante di Qualità Metodo Classico Brut by Tenuta di Artimino is produced in Tuscany from Pinot Nero and Chardonnay. The Metodo Classico, with bottle refermentation, delivers a fine and persistent mousse that enhances freshness and elegance. The soils rich in limestone and clay impart pronounced minerality and a balanced structure, ideal for a refined and vibrant style.
Where it comes from
The grapes are sourced from the highest vineyards of Tenuta di Artimino, located in Montalbano in Tuscany. The estate's soil and climate context helps preserve varietal aromas. Calcareous-clayey soils promote water retention and a mineral component, factors that are reflected in the wine's profile. The estate carefully manages the vineyards and produces high-quality labels.
How it is produced
Manual harvesting takes place between mid-August and early September to preserve acidity and fresh aromas. After meticulous selection, fermentation occurs in stainless steel at a controlled temperature to maintain primary fragrances. The base wine is bottled with liqueur de tirage for the prise de mousse and referments according to the Metodo Classico. The wine ages on the lees for 48 months, with manual riddling and disgorgement à la glace, resulting in a clean and precise profile.
Tasting notes
In the glass, it is brilliant, with a fine and persistent perlage. The nose opens with aromas of tropical fruit, white flowers, and light notes of dry pastry. On the palate, it is fresh and fragrant; the lively mousse offers a balance between acidity and softness. The finish is harmonious, with a mineral trail and a savoury, clean aftertaste.
Food pairings
This Metodo Classico pairs well with raw fish and light seafood fries, enhancing the delicacy of the meat and finding balance in the vividness of the bubbles.
When to serve
Perfect for festive occasions, but also suitable throughout a meal thanks to its structure and mineral character.
