Description

Verus Vinogradi Sauvignon is a Slovenian white wine produced in the Štajerska region, in the Ormož area, from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The grapes come from selected plots in the municipalities of Jeruzalem, Strmec, Mali Kog, Kog, Litmerk, Pavlovski vrh, Ivanjkovci, Brebrovnik, and Radomeršćak, grown on soils with a base of limestone, clay, sand, and marl.

The harvest is done by hand and fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for about three weeks at a controlled temperature between 15 and 20°C. After fermentation, the wine remains in contact with the fine lees for several weeks, then completes its aging in steel to preserve freshness, precision, and fragrance.

In the glass, it presents a straw-yellow color. On the nose, it offers fruity notes of currant and passion fruit, enriched by delicate hints of nettle, while on the palate it is round, persistent, and elegant.

It pairs well with seafood starters, grilled vegetables, herb risottos, goat cheeses, and fish-based dishes.
