Description

The Chenin Blanc from Villiera winery is a white wine produced in South Africa with Chenin Blanc grapes grown in Stellenbosch, sourced from three different plots, 40% of which are made up of old bush vines. This grape variety, the most cultivated in the country, represents one of the most versatile and recognizable expressions of South African winemaking.

After manual harvesting mid-season, some of the grapes are whole-cluster pressed to preserve freshness. After a brief skin maceration, the clarified must ferments cold, partly in steel and 30% in barrels, which are removed immediately after fermentation. The wine then rests for two months on fine lees before stabilization and bottling.

It is a bright yellow-green in appearance. On the nose, it offers intense aromas of pineapple, guava and citrus, with a spicy hint of wood. On the palate, it is rich and well-balanced, with subtle freshness and a long, harmonious finish.

Perfect with tuna dishes, chicken, turkey, pork belly, grilled amberjack, melon with cured ham, or roasted vegetables.
