Description
The Six Flowers is a white wine produced in South Africa by Neethlingshof Winery with a blend of six varieties: Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Gewürztraminer, and Weisser Riesling, cultivated in the hillside vineyards of Stellenbosch. Part of the Short Story Collection line, it reflects the balance between aromatic diversity and structural finesse.
After manual harvesting from plots with vines aged between 10 and 30 years, each variety is vinified separately. The fermentation initially takes place in steel tanks at 14°C, then Chardonnay, Chenin, and Sauvignon Blanc age for up to 3 months in first-pass French barriques. Only afterwards are the wines blended and bottled.
The wine presents a straw-yellow color. The aroma recalls white peach, pear, yellow apple, lavender, and brioche. On the palate, it is broad, well-structured, and fresh, with notes of white fruit, asparagus, orange marmalade, and a hint of vanilla, finishing with a delicate toasted note.
Perfect with coconut chicken curry, lobster risotto, crispy pork belly, or salads with grilled peach and goat cheese.
