Description

Kalk & Kreide is a 100% Sauvignon Blanc from the Tement winery, a family business founded in 1959 in the Austrian wine-growing region of Südsteiermark. The winery has been practicing organic farming for years and is converting to biodynamic.

The grapes for the Kalk & Kreide come from 55 small plots and are selected by hand. The vinification takes place in stainless steel vats and is based on the spontaneous fermentation of the grapes, with a stay of 6 months on the fine lees.

The wine is straw yellow in color. On the nose there are hints of elderflower, ripe fruit such as pear and cassis, as well as citrine and mineral notes. The sip is complex, characterized by a brilliant minerality and persistence.

Perfect with dishes based on both white and green asparagus, it is also excellent with fish and rich salads.
