Description

The Lyra is a Gewürztraminer from Alto Adige produced by Nals Margreid, obtained from vineyards located in the Bassa Atesina at an altitude between 350 and 550 meters above sea level. The vines grow on calcareous soils with clayey gravel at the foot of Monte Roen, with a southeast exposure. The Mediterranean climate of the area, tempered by winds from Lake Garda, favors balanced grape ripening.

The grapes are handpicked and, after a short pre-fermentation maceration, the must is fermented for about three weeks in steel tanks. Subsequently, the wine ages for another seven months on the fine lees, allowing the development of aromatic complexity and a well-defined structure.

In appearance, it presents a bright golden yellow color, with a compact texture. On the nose, it stands out for its rich and multifaceted aromatic profile, with hints of Chinotto, lychee, and a slight note of rosemary. On the palate, it is round, with good crunchiness, sapidity, and a pleasant persistence.

It pairs excellently with curry chicken or oriental-style shellfish.
