Description

The Lagrein from Muri-Gries winery originates in the sunny valley of Bolzano, at an altitude of 260 meters, where this native Alto Adige grape variety best expresses its intense and territorial character. The Lagrein grapes are grown on sandy alluvial soils well exposed to the south. It is an elegant red wine, deep and rich in nuances, combining power and finesse in perfect balance.

After eight days of fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 28 °C, the wine ages in large wooden barrels, developing complexity and structure without losing freshness.

In appearance, it shows a deep purple-red color. The nose opens with complex notes of violet, chocolate, ripe plum, and spices. The sip is elegant, velvety, and enveloping, with dense tannins and a finish that recalls mild hints of bitter almond.

It pairs harmoniously with red meat dishes, spicy roasts, or game.
