Description
The Grauvernatsch from the Muri-Gries winery is produced in Alto Adige from Schiava Grigia grapes grown in the vineyards of San Michele Appiano, at an altitude between 350 and 400 meters above sea level. The grapes are cultivated on sandy and gravelly soils, well exposed to the south. This red wine reflects the elegance and winemaking tradition of the area, offering a refined expression of the territory and the grape variety.
After harvesting, fermentation takes place in stainless steel for eight days at a controlled temperature of 26 °C. The wine is then left to mature for eight months in steel tanks, preserving freshness and finesse.
It presents a ruby red color with violet reflections. On the nose, it is broad and fruity, with hints of black cherry, cinnamon, and marzipan. On the palate, it is smooth, fruity and structured, with delicate tannins and a long, inviting finish, typical of Schiava Grigia.
Perfect with light dishes based on white meat or delicate cured meats.
