Description

The Südtirol Lagrein Sigis Mundus of Colterenzio was born in the classic area of Gries, one of the five districts of the province of Bolzano.

It is obtained exclusively with Lagrein grapes, harvested and selected only by hand. Fermentation takes place, with subsequent maceration, for 10 days on its skins. After malolactic fermentation in barriques, the wine ages in the same containers for about 16 months, before being bottled. A further refinement in the bottle for 12 months follows.

Almost purplish in color, Colterenzio's Sigis Mundus opens to the nose with intense aromas of violet, blackberry and black cherry, enriched with spicy notes of coffee and chocolate. On the palate it is powerful and pleasantly soft, with young tannins and a pleasantly fresh and persistent finish.

Perfect to accompany red meat and game dishes, this red wine is ideal in combination with spicy cheeses.
