Südtirol - Alto Adige DOC Flora Pinot Bianco Riserva 2016 Girlan

The Pinot Blanc Riserva of the Flora di Girlan line from the areas of Cornaiano and Appiano Monte, in the province of Bolzano.

It is made exclusively from Pinot Bianco grapes, harvested manually in small containers. After the soft pressing of the whole grapes, fermentation takes place in French oak barriques. This is followed by a partial malolactic fermentation and aging in cask for 12 months, in steel for another 6 months and finally in bottle for a further 6 months, before being marketed as a reserve.

Straw yellow at the sight, it releases succulent hints of pineapple and ripe quince to the nose. In the mouth it is fresh and elegant, of remarkable persistence.

A very versatile wine in combination, it lends itself to accompany cold cuts and appetizers but also risotto with seafood and fresh cheeses.
