Südtirol - Alto Adige St. Magdalener DOC Perlhof 2018 Ritterhof

The South Tyrolean Santa Maddalena Perlhof of Ritterhof was born north of Bolzano, from vineyards surrounding the homonymous Maso, Perlhof, from vineyards over 40 years old located at 450 meters above sea level.

It is mainly obtained from Schiava and Lagrein grapes, harvested manually around the middle of October, with careful selection of the bunches. Fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature of 25 ° C. It follows an average period of aging in large wooden barrels before the subsequent bottling.

Intense ruby red in color, it develops intriguing aromas of red berry fruit and ripe cherry in the glass. In the mouth it is possible to feel its elegant and velvety consistency, soft tannins and a light almondy finish.

Very versatile in the combination, recommended with red meats, stewed or roasted, and fried fish, as well as in the company of a good pizza.
