Description
Pure Kerner, Adler Kerner comes to life in the picturesque locality of Klausen, Chiusa, in the province of Bolzano, in the magical Isarco Valley, the throbbing heart of South Tyrol, traditionally an area extremely devoted to viticulture. Adler von Klausen, literally, "eagle of Chiusa", is the symbol of the winery, also featured on the label, depicting the eagle, an animal that symbolically represents cosmic power, absolute freedom, and therefore, life. The wine does not betray these expectations and presents itself as elegant and refined. The Kerner grape loves the light, gravelly, and sandy soils of the higher and sunnier slopes of the middle Isarco Valley, from which a full-bodied and flavorful wine is obtained, enjoying great appreciation. It is produced with hand-harvested grapes. The process includes a soft pressing of the grapes, followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature in steel and aging in the same containers on fine lees.
An ideal partner for light appetizers and mixed salads, it is excellent with egg or mushroom-based dishes and with grilled fish. Excellent as an aperitif.
