Description
What kind of wine is it?
Passofino Rosato by Feudi Bizantini is created from a blend of Montepulciano and Merlot. The wine offers freshness and easy drinking, with an intense aromatic profile featuring fresh fruit and floral nuances, all on a light and linear structure. Fermentation and cold maceration in stainless steel preserve vibrancy and clarity, resulting in a harmonious and approachable rosé, perfect for those seeking versatility and pleasure.
Where does it come from?
Produced in the Crecchio area, Passofino Rosato reflects the typical characteristics of this region.
How is it made?
The grapes are vinified as described in the production input: after harvesting, they undergo cold maceration on the skins for twelve hours in steel and gentle pressing. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, and the wine then matures for three months in stainless steel.
Tasting notes
It presents a pale petal pink color with brilliant reflections. On the nose, there are hints of fresh fruit and spring flowers, according to a personal sensory interpretation. The palate is fresh and smooth, with a balance between acidity and sapidity, a light body, and a pleasantly persistent finish.
Food pairings
This rosé pairs well with grilled fish dishes, fish soups, and shellfish preparations. It also works with light white meats, seafood salads, and delicate cured meats. For a regional touch, it goes well with Abruzzo-style skewers and a lemon and shrimp risotto, enhancing freshness and citrus notes.
When to serve
To bring out its aromatic profile and freshness, Passofino Rosato should be served chilled in medium-sized glasses. It is recommended to enjoy it young, to make the most of its primary components. Thanks to its balanced structure, it’s ideal as an aperitif or paired with delicate dishes during the warm season, offering a harmonious tasting experience.
