Description

What kind of wine is it?

Hanami di Fina is an elegant rosé made from Merlot grapes grown in the heart of the island. Classified as Terre Siciliane, it stands out for its fresh and aromatic profile , the result of meticulous cellar work. The process involves a targeted cold phase on the must in contact with the pulp, favoring the extraction of the finest components and preserving the fruit's vivacity. On the palate, it is smooth, with a balanced structure and a pleasant finish.

Where does it come from?

The grapes come from central-western Sicily , from a hilly area located 850 meters above sea level. This significant altitude ensures gradual ripening and offers a vibrant flavor tension in the glass. The soil and climate conditions enhance the aromatic definition of the grape variety, thus enhancing the expressions of the terroir of origin, Terre Siciliane . The result is a drink with a coherent technical line, combining structure and agility.

How it is produced

The process begins with a cold stabling phase, during which the must is kept at near-zero temperatures along with the pulp for fifteen days, an ideal technique for extracting very delicate aromas. This is followed by temperature-controlled fermentation for eight days. The subsequent maturation in steel on the lees lasts approximately three months. This attention to materials and timing prevents oxidation and ensures a clear and lasting aromatic continuity in the final glass.

Tasting notes

In the glass, it displays a clear, pale pink color. The bouquet offers floral aromas of peach, jasmine, and orange blossom, combined with a distinct vegetal nuance of boxwood. On the palate, the sip is fresh and persistent , with precise hints of black cherry, peach, and blueberry. The finish welcomes harmonious, exotic touches of lychee and grapefruit.

What does it pair with?

It pairs effortlessly with a variety of seafood appetizers , shellfish, and delicate fish recipes. Its distinctly clean palate makes it ideal for pairing with dishes like sushi and sashimi , supporting the textures without overpowering the flavor. Also excellent with traditional Trapani-style fish couscous , it precisely and elegantly enhances light marinades or raw fish dishes.

When to serve it

This wine is perfect for convivial gatherings where a lively and defined drink is desired. Ideal for enhancing seafood-based lunches and dinners , its smooth profile also makes it an excellent choice as an elegant opening glass . Careful maturation on the lees lends structure and preserves the integrity of the fruit, ensuring a pleasant linearity on the palate and making it a faithful companion at the table.
