Description

Falde Bianco represents the meeting point between one of the best-known native Sicilian white grape varieties, Insolia, of which it is composed for at least 80%, and the prized Viognier and Carricante grape varieties, both capable of adapting in a surprising way to the territory and climate of the island.

The harvest takes place between August and September, followed by a one-day maceration at low temperatures and soft pressing of the grapes. The must ferments for 20-25 days at a temperature of 15-18°C. It ages in steel on the fine lees and for 2 months in the bottle before being released for sale.

Bright straw yellow, it reveals intense floral and exotic fruit aromas on the nose. On the palate it is savoury and fresh, with a decidedly balanced taste.

Suitable for any occasion, it is perfect for an aperitif but also to accompany raw fish, white meats and fresh vegetables. Also recommended with a good assortment of fresh cheeses.
