Terre Siciliane IGT Nero di Lupo 2017 COS

COS's Nero di Lupo comes from vineyards located in the Vittoria area, in the province of Ragusa, in south-eastern Sicily.

It is a red obtained from pure Nero d'Avola grapes. Alcoholic fermentation is triggered spontaneously by the action of the indigenous yeasts present on the skins, with which the must remains in contact. The refinement takes place inside cement tanks and is completed by a rest period in the bottle that precedes the marketing.

It has a ruby red color, enlivened by some bright purple reflections. The nose clearly reveals hints of red fruits and strawberries in jam, against a background of coffee and leather. The tannic texture perceived on the palate is silky and fine, integrated with the freshness and flavor and in balance with a full body.

To be combined with meat-based first courses or second courses, always based on meat, enriched with sauces. For the finesse of the tannic texture, this red is ideal for accompanying dishes rich in succulence, also quite elaborate.
