Description
The Nerello Cappuccio Inessa is produced with pure grapes grown on the slopes of Mount Etna at an average altitude between 350 and 900 meters above sea level.
With late ripening, the grapes adapt well to volcanic soils, mostly composed of sands and layers of ash. The right temperature variations help the clusters retain the acidity necessary to create wines with a good structure. During the harvest, the grapes are selected, transported to the winery, and destemmed, followed by the maceration and fermentation stages. Subsequently, the wine is transferred to steel for a short aging period, which continues briefly in the bottle.
Deep ruby red with some violet reflections, it presents a compact nose with ripe red fruits like raspberry, cherry, and plum, some pleasant spicy notes, and slight herbaceous hints. On the palate, it shows density with a return of red fruits, good structure, and a pleasant touch of rose and viola moderated by soft tannins that lead to a pleasant and long finish.
This wine is ideal for roast meats and savory first courses; it can also accompany meat loafs and boards of semi-aged cold cuts and cheeses.
