Description

Minami 2 is a red wine from the Jumilla region, Murcia. It is composed of a blend of Monastrell and Garnacha grapes.

The grapes come from vineyards located in El Valle de La Raja. Garnacha is grown at La Atalaya, while Monastrell comes from various old vineyards in the same valley. Both varieties are fermented separately in foudres and stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation takes place in the same types of tanks, with 30% of the wine undergoing fermentation in new French oak barrels. Finally, the wine is aged for about 12 months in both new and used French oak barrels.

The wine shows an intense red color with violet hues. On the nose, it reveals notes of ripe red and black fruit, balsamic and spicy aromas, and toasted hints derived from barrel aging. On the palate, it is expressive with excellent volume and balance, offering significant intensity and pleasant final persistence, with reminders of ripe fruit and spices.

This red wine is ideal to pair with grilled red meats or aged cheeses.
