Toscana IGT Bugia 2018 Bibi Graetz
Description
The name Bugia derives from the typical custom of small communities to assign a nickname to each family for identification purposes. "Bugia" was in fact the nickname given to the elderly farmer who managed the vineyards of the Isola del Giglio from which this intriguing expression of Ansonica is forged.
Pure wine born from 90 year old grapes, with roots that sink deep to reach the best mineral substances that the soil can offer, is the result of fermentation in steel and 10% in barrique. Maintaining the same proportions, the wine proceeds to the aging phase which lasts for at least 12 months.
It is a straw yellow color with golden hues. The bouquet is characterized by a floral soul, with references to fresh plum, acacia honey and hints of minerality. The sip is medium-bodied and refreshing with traits of rare elegance.
It will be appreciated with appetizers and first courses of fish.
