Toscana IGT Barricoccio 2012 Tenuta Rubbia al Colle Suvereto
Description
The Sangiovese Barricoccio Toscana of the Muratori Archipelago was born in the Rumpotino vineyard, located in the Val di Cornia.
It is mainly produced with Sangiovese and Canaiolo grapes, harvested and selected only by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 28 ° C. Subsequently the wine ages in barriques for 18 months and for a further 6 months in bottle before being released on the market.
Barricoccio is characterized by a lively ruby red color. The nose opens with hints of red fruits, enriched with pleasant balsamic notes. On the palate it is fresh, young, pleasantly soft and well structured.
Perfect to accompany cold cuts and red meats, it is ideal in combination with fish, game and aged cheeses.
