Chardonnay di Toscana IGT Chardonnay Al Poggio 2016 Castello di Ama

The Chardonnay of Tuscany Al Poggio di Castello di Ama was born in the homonymous area of Gaiole in Chianti, from a land characterized by a massive presence of limestone and at an altitude between 450 and 500 meters above sea level, conditions that allow to produce a large White wine.

It is obtained from clones of Chardonnay grapes from Burgundy, with manual grape harvesting carried out during the month of September. The fermentation took place mainly in steel and partly in barrique. The mass vinified in barriques, part of which undergoes a maceration on the skins for about 12 hours, is divided between new Allier or Tronçais oak barriques and in barriques with one year of age, where malolactic fermentation takes place. After 8 months of aging on the lees, the final assembly and bottling takes place.

This wine has a bright straw yellow color with golden reflections. The scent is fresh, floral, enriched with fruity hints of orange, banana and pineapple. Distinguished by a delicate opening, it amazes the palate with its freshness and persistence.

Perfect to accompany appetizers and first courses, it is ideal in combination with fish and vegetable dishes.
