Toscana IGT Bibbianaccio 2011 Bibbiano
Description
The Bibbianaccio Toscana Bibbiano company was born in vineyards located in the municipality of Castellina in Chianti, in the province of Siena. This wine is the result of recent oenological experiments and represents the best of the company's production.
It is produced with Sangiovese, Colorino, Trebbiano and Malvasia grapes, harvested and selected by hand between September and October. Fermentation takes place, with maceration, in open-top barriques, for 15 days. Subsequently the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and ages for 12 months in French oak tonneaux, for another 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels and for 6 months in bottle before being placed on the market.
The Bibbianaccio has an intense ruby red color with violet reflections. The nose opens with fresh and lively aromas of ripe red fruits, enriched with balsamic notes and wild mint. On the palate it is fresh and elegant, with a good balance between acidity and tannins.
Perfect to accompany red meats and game, it is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
