Toscana IGT Cacciacone Rosso 2009 Tenuta San Giorgio
Description
The Tuscan Rosso Cacciacone of Tenuta San Giorgio was born in the vineyards located in Montalcino, in the hamlet of Castelnuovo dell'Abate.
It is produced with Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah grapes, harvested entirely by hand in early October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Subsequently the aging takes place for 18 months in French oak barrels and finally for another 6-8 months in bottle before being put on the market.
Cacciacone is characterized by a very intense bright garnet color, with evident violet reflections. The nose is harmonious and well-structured, with hints of small red fruits, such as blackberries and blueberries, enriched with pleasant notes of cocoa and cinnamon. On the palate it gives a persistent and fruity aftertaste.
Perfect to accompany first courses with meat sauce, it is ideal in combination with stewed meat and mushroom recipes.
