Description

The Tuscany Picconero of Tenuta Montebello di Tolaini was born in vineyards located in the Sienese municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga, in Tuscany.

It is mainly produced with Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes, carefully picked and selected by hand. Fermentation takes place in wooden tanks at controlled temperature, with maceration in contact with the skins for 30 days. After malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels, the wine always refines in barrique for 24 months and in bottle for a further 12 months.

> It is characterized by a very intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. The nose opens with clear aromas of red fruit and pepper, enriched with notes of licorice and vanilla. On the palate it is complex and structured, with soft and round tannins, hints of red fruits and an aftertaste of vanilla and balsamic notes.

Perfect to accompany first courses and red meats, this red wine is ideal in combination with game and aged cheeses.
