Description

The Poggio alle Gazze from Ornellaia is a Tuscan white wine that originates along the Tyrrhenian coast, in a setting where the Mediterranean climate helps to define a unique, elegant, and radiant style. The combination of international varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Vermentino, Viognier, Semillon, and meticulous production care create a signature label of the estate, capable of expressing the determined yet refined character of its territory.

Vinification begins with manual harvesting in the early morning hours, followed by soft pressing protected from oxidation. The musts ferment in new and used barriques for 50% and in steel and concrete containers for the remaining 50%, at a controlled temperature not exceeding 22°C. The wine does not undergo malolactic fermentation and matures for six months on lees with regular bâtonnage, followed by a year of bottle aging before release.

On the nose, it expresses a wide and lively aromatic bouquet with notes of passion fruit and spices, while on the palate it stands out for its crispness, freshness, and dynamism, with a tense and harmonious sip that reflects the Mediterranean identity of the wine.

Perfect paired with raw seafood, citrus risottos, or delicate soft cheeses.
