Description

The Petit Sancaba red wine from Tenuta di Trinoro is a wine produced by Andrea Franchetti, who created a model estate in the 1990s, with the intention of producing great wines. The choice fell on a wild and uncultivated area of the Val d'Orcia, deep in the Tuscan hinterland. In terms of climate and soil composition, the area has proved to be particularly suitable for the main international varieties and in particular for the Bordeaux vines.

The wine is a pure Pinot Noir, whose grapes are fermented for 10 days in steel tanks with 25% of whole bunches. The wine then ages partly in cement tanks, partly in second passage tonneaux.

It has an intense ruby red color and conquers with fruity aromas of small red and black fruits such as blueberry, wild strawberry and raspberry, as well as delicate spicy and mineral notes. The sip is elegant and fine, with silky tannins and a persistent finish.

To be combined with lasagna with meat sauce, stewed and roasted red meats and tasty risottos.
