Description

Petit Sancaba is a red wine produced in San Casciano dei Bagni from Pinot Noir grapes, conceived as the second wine of Sancaba di Carlo Franchetti. It is made from young parcels together with a selection of grapes from the other vineyards, offering a fresh, expressive, and immediately pleasant profile.

The vinification takes place with indigenous yeasts in steel tanks, using a portion of whole bunches, without punch-downs and with light pump-overs to limit extraction, followed by aging for about 6 months in concrete tanks.

In the glass, it shows a pale color and a very pronounced aromatic character, dominated by lively and fragrant fruit. On the palate, it is dynamic, smooth, and fresh, with an agile structure and a clear varietal expression.

It pairs well with Tuscan cured meats, roast white meats, pasta dishes with light ragù, and medium-aged cheeses.
