Description
The Toscana Rosso Rompicollo di Poggio al Tufo comes from the Rompicollo vineyard of the same name, cultivated entirely on volcanic soil, located in the municipality of Pitigliano, in the province of Grosseto.
It is produced with Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, harvested exclusively by hand. After traditional vinification in steel at controlled temperature, the wine ages for 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels.
Il Rompicollo di Poggio al Tufo has an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with intense aromas of ripe red berry fruit, mainly blackberry and raspberry. On the palate it is a full-bodied, silky wine, with returns of ripe fruit in the finish.
Perfect to accompany pasta dishes seasoned with meat sauce, it is ideal in combination with white meats and fresh cheeses.
