Toscana IGT Rossole 2014 Borgo Salcetino
Description
Toscana Rosso Rossole was born in the vineyards of the Borgo Salcetino winery, located in Radda in Chianti, in the province of Siena.
This wine is produced 70% with Sangiovese grapes and 30% with Merlot grapes, harvested entirely by hand in boxes and vinified separately. Alcoholic fermentation on the skins is carried out at controlled temperature and lasts for 21 days. The must then goes into barrique, where it completes the malolactic fermentation and ages for about 12 months, at a constant temperature of 16 ° C. This is followed by final assembly and final refinement in the bottle.
It has a garnet red color. The nose offers fruity notes of forest fruits and black cherry. In the mouth it expresses a good structure, with delicate tannins, softened by Merlot grapes. It shows excellent persistence in the finish.
It goes very well with meat sauce, grilled meats, poultry, also excellent with aged cheeses, hams and typical salami.
