Toscana Novello IGT Santa Cristina San Giocondo 2021

San Giocondo is the new wine of Santa Cristina produced from a base of Sangiovese and Syrah grapes, conceived for immediate consumption.

The harvest takes place within the first ten days of September. The entire mass is separated into two batches that follow a different vinification. One part undergoes a carbonic maceration with whole berries while the remaining part carries out a traditional maceration. Blending and short malolactic fermentation follows.

Ruby red in color with purple reflections, it expresses itself on the nose with intense floral notes of violet and pink, accompanied by hints of raspberry and blackberry. In the mouth it is soft and balanced, with a finish that follows the olfactory imprint perceived on the nose.

Ideal in combination with roasted chestnuts or a mushroom soup.
