Description
The Müller Thurgau from the mountain winery Cembra originates in the Val di Cembra, a mountainous area with a strong winegrowing tradition, characterized by terraced vineyards situated between 700 and 900 meters above sea level, with exposures favorable to the sun. The soils, of sandy-loam texture and rich in porphyric stones, give the wine a pronounced identity, as a true expression of a cool and breezy environment. This grape variety is one of the most iconic of the valley, capable of elegantly reflecting the strength and purity of the Alpine setting.
The winemaking process involves manual harvesting of the grapes, followed by destemming and gentle pressing to preserve the aromatic integrity of the fruit. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, an ideal environment to retain freshness and varietal fragrance. Ageing continues in the same containers, allowing the wine to develop balance and finesse without oxidative interference.
To the eye, it displays a bright straw yellow color with greenish highlights. The bouquet is intense and immediate, with delicate floral notes accompanied by hints of citrus and reminiscent of exotic fruit. On the palate, it stands out for its vibrancy and depth, supported by pronounced savoriness and lively freshness that enhance its drinkability and expressive precision.
It pairs perfectly with light fish dishes, fresh appetizers, and delicately flavored mountain cuisine.
