Description
The Sauvignon from Cantina La-Vis's Ritratti line originates in the Avisian Hills, particularly from vineyards located between Giovo and Meano, at an altitude between 350 and 450 meters above sea level. The vines are planted in soils of different compositions: in Giovo, the soil is shallow and on porphyry bedrock; in Meano, it is loamy-clay, well-drained, fertile, and deep. Both soils boast high biological vitality, an ideal condition for the authentic expression of the grape variety.
The grapes are hand-picked and selected in September. After gentle pressing, the must ferments and matures mainly in stainless steel, with a portion aged in French oak barrels. This winemaking technique allows for maintaining freshness and aromaticity while also endowing the wine with complexity and structure.
It appears straw yellow with greenish reflections. The aroma is complex and mineral, with exotic notes of lychee and mango blending with hints of sage and flint. On the palate, it is savory and salty, with excellent structure and aromatic persistence, for a balanced and dynamic sip.
It pairs perfectly with dishes based on shellfish or fresh goat cheeses.
