Western Cape WO Unfiltered Semillon 2014 Fleur du Cap

Fleur du Cap's Unfiltered Semillon was born in vineyards located in the Cape Coastal area of South Africa.

It is obtained from pure Sémillon grapes, harvested and selected only by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine ages partly in new barriques, and partly in second and third passage barriques, before being bottled.

Semillon is characterized by a light yellow color and an evident shade of green. The nose opens with a complex bouquet of green apple and citrus, with aromas of walnut and toasted notes. On the palate it proves rich and complex with pleasant fruity hints of melon, apricot and citrus, enriched by a fresh acidity and spicy notes of vanilla.

Ideal in combination with pasta dishes with mushrooms and truffles, this white wine is also suitable for accompanying white meats.
