Description

This Vacqueyras by Victor Berard comes from the foothills of the Dentelles de Montmirail, between the towns of Vacqueyras and Sarrians, in a terroir characterized by clay-sandy soils enriched with gravel beds. Composed of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Carignan, it expresses the power and elegance typical of this renowned appellation in the Rhône Valley.

The grape varieties are vinified separately using traditional methods, followed by a 3-4 week maceration to best extract aromas and structure. The wine matures for 8 months in cement tanks, a process that helps preserve its aromatic purity and fruity character while maintaining a perfect balance between intensity and finesse.

Visually, it presents a deep and dense red color. The bouquet is elegant and enveloping, with notes of black fruits, violet, and wild herbs. On the palate, it is silky and balanced, with rich aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and blueberry, enhanced by hints of cocoa and pepper. The finish is generous and persistent, with soft tannins that provide roundness and harmony.

It pairs perfectly with beef bourguignon, lasagna, or lamb.
