Valle d'Aosta DOC Rayon 2016 Cave Mont Blanc

The white Rayon is produced by the Cave Mont Blanc winery from vineyards that climb the steep slopes of the Morgex area.

From this suggestive area of the Aosta Valley come the grapes, 100% Prié Blanc, used to give life to Rayon, a wine with a fresh and savory imprint. It is the result of the selection of grapes belonging to the vineyards best exposed to sunlight, a precious commodity in the cold Morgex. The harvest, often carried out in conjunction with the first snowfalls, takes place manually and allows the transport of healthy and quality grapes to the cellar. The winemaking process unfolds within the steel only, keeping the temperature controlled. Malolactic fermentation is carried out only partially.

At sight it shows a straw yellow color, bright. The nose is markedly fruity and is divided into notes that refer to herbs and mountain flowers, hawthorn and citrus fruits. In the mouth it confirms the fresh and savory trait, as well as the fruity texture.

It goes perfectly with a poached egg on Fontina Valdostana DOP fondue.
