Description

The Single Vineyard of the Laura Hartwig winery is produced with 100% Carmenére in the Valle de Colchagua in Chile.

With vineyards subject to a Mediterranean climate thanks to the cold currents coming from the Andes and the ocean, the Valle de Colchagua, with many varieties in the soil and well-defined seasons, is an ideal place to raise vines. This wine is made with the best grapes recovered from the oldest vineyards of the Estate. The wine comes from careful harvesting followed by fermentation and aging for at least 20 months in 50% new French oak barrels. A further refinement in the bottle of 6-12 months is foreseen before release.

Beautiful ruby red of great intensity for a wine with a compact and mature olfactory profile, distributed between notes of red and black fruits in jam, pleasant spicy notes of cardamom and clove. Tertiary coffee and tobacco return to the palate for a full and harmonious body, defined by a soft tannic texture and an excellent structure that emphasizes the fullness of fruit. Pleasant on the palate, it has a surprising long finish.

Wine that fills the palate and supports stewed meats, game and first courses based on wild boar sauce. Also excellent for red meats cooked on the barbecue.
