Description
Guerrieri Rizzardi's Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore Pojega was born in the thirty-year-old vineyards adjacent to Villa Rizzardi in Pojega, in the Veneto region.
Produced 45% with Corvina grapes, 45% with Corvinone and the remaining 10% with Rondinella, Molinara and Merlot, it is vinified with the application of the practice of ripasso, or with a second fermentation of the wine on the fermented pomace of Amarone after racking of the latter. Pojega ferments for 15 days at a controlled temperature of 25-28 ° C, then matures in Croatian and French oak barrels for at least 12 months before being bottled.
Wine very rich in perfumes, opens to the nose with hints of red fruits and pleasant notes of leather and grass. In the mouth it is dense, soft and round, with a long and fruity finish.
Perfect in combination with red meats and game, it is excellent to accompany large stuffed roasts and meat tartare.
