Valpolicella Ripasso DOC Superiore Castelliere delle Guaite 2014 Montresor

The Ripasso Superiore Castelliere delle Guaite was born from the homonymous vineyard of the Montresor company, located in the heart of the famous Valpolicella area, within the municipality of Negrar.

This wine is mainly produced with Corvina grapes and with Rondinella and Molinara grapes, harvested in October. After the traditional wine-making processes, in the month of April following the harvest, the must is "passed" on the Amarone marc. This amplifies the organoleptic peculiarities of wine which, after an evolution of about 2 years in wood, are also refined in glass.

It is characterized by a ruby red color, tending towards garnet. The nose dominates the scene with hints of cherry, blackberry and dried fruit. In the mouth it shows a great structure, with well-present but round and very velvety tannins.

Perfect to combine with red meats and game-based preparations, it is recommended in combination with medium-aged cheeses.
