Description
Valpolicella Superiore Il Mastego was born in the vineyards of the Tenuta di Naiano, located in the romantic hilly area of the province of Verona.
It is mainly produced with Corvina grapes and with Rondinella and Oseleta grapes, harvested by hand towards the beginning of October. After the pressing phase, the wine is left to ferment at controlled temperatures for about 9 days. It carries out the evolutionary phase for 12 months in Salvonia oak barrels and in French barriques.
Valpolicella Superiore Il Mastego has an intense ruby red color. The nose offers aromas of red and black fruits, which are combined with the qualities obtained from wood, such as vanilla, in addition to licorice and black pepper. In the mouth there are the flavors of the opening to the nose, well supported by a good body and a lovable general balance.
Excellent with meat roasts, especially pork, guinea fowl and game. it is excellent with mushroom dishes and medium-aged cheeses.
