Description
Ca 'Morei di Fay is a Valtellina Superiore of finesse, expressiveness and elegance.
It consists of 100% Nebbiolo, harvested from vineyards located at 550 meters above sea level in the Valgella sub-area, near the municipality of Teglio. They are owned vineyards, firmly linked to the family history and, perhaps also for this reason, imbued with an even greater charm. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel tanks, while malolactic fermentation takes place in small oak barrels where the wine ages for 12 months. A final bottle maturation period of about 15 months follows.
Garnet red, with beautiful transparency and brightness. The nose shows complex but delicate notes, in the sign of a finesse that immediately establishes itself as elegance. Small red fruits, cocoa, leather, earth and a very light spicy hint. It plays on a dark and pointed timbre, on the nose as well as in the mouth, where it asserts itself with the class of velvety and persuasive tannins. Fresh and finely savory, with a good body capable of preserving its gracefulness with every sip.
Perfect to accompany traditional pizzoccheri.
