Description
The Maim of the Mattia Vezzola di Costaripa line comes from vineyards located in the heart of Valtènesi.
It is produced exclusively with Groppello Gentile grapes, an ancient variety present in Valtènesi since 1250, harvested and selected entirely by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine ages for 12 months in small oak barrels and then in the bottle for a further 10 months before being marketed.
It has a ruby red color with light garnet reflections. The nose opens with intense floral aromas of violets, accompanied by pleasant hints of ripe red fruit and undergrowth, spices, flint, pepper and olive wood. On the palate it is well balanced and velvety, with sweet tannins.
Perfect to accompany cold cuts and medium-aged cheeses, it is ideal in combination with white meat cooked on the grill
