Description
This white wine, Manastirea Rohrbach Cru, is made from Riesling grapes from one of the best parcels of the Gitana Winery, located at 360 meters above sea level, facing southeast. The meticulous manual selection of the grapes and the privileged geographical location ensure the highest varietal and territorial expression of this CRU.
After destemming and gentle pressing, the must is chilled to 5°C through cryomaceration. After six hours, it is transferred to stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation takes place at 12°C for 14-18 days. The wine then matures in stainless steel with periodic batonnage for a few months at controlled temperature until bottling.
It shows a pale straw yellow color in the glass. The nose reveals intense aromas of pear, honey, and peach, enriched with floral notes and orange zest. On the palate, it is structured and full-bodied, with an excellent balance between minerality and acidity.
It pairs perfectly with oysters, foie gras, sushi, seafood, tuna salads, and spicy crab tacos.
